The Gaec des Estives, based in Cerisy-Belle-Etoile, decided in 2017 to develop a methanisation plant. It has been operational since spring 2020.

The objective of this site is to be autonomous in energy consumption and to be able to distribute this energy locally.

The cost of this project is €4 million, of which more than €800,000 is financed by the Region.

It is a GELEC generator that has secured this methanisation in Lower Normandy.
